Yes. There is no rule in Jewish law that forbids it. A Star of David pendant is a cultural and national symbol rather than a ritual object, so unlike items such as tefillin it is not restricted to Jewish wearers. Many people wear one because of family heritage, a connection to Israel, or solidarity with the Jewish community. What matters is wearing it with an understanding of what it means.
The Star of David (Magen David) is the best known symbol of Jewish identity and of Israel. Chai is the Hebrew word for life. The Hamsa, also called the Hand of Miriam, is a traditional symbol of protection. An Israel map pendant represents connection to the land itself. Hebrew name and verse pendants carry a personal name or a line of scripture in Hebrew letters.
Most designs in this collection are made in sizes that work well for women, with the dainty Star of David, mini Chai, and Hebrew initial pendants being the most popular. Because chain length is chosen at checkout, the same pendant can be worn short at the collarbone or long for layering.
Yes. Every piece in this collection is handcrafted in Israel rather than mass produced overseas, which is why the designs use authentic Hebrew lettering and traditional Judaica motifs.
Most designs are finished in 925 Sterling Silver, with optional 24K Gold plating or Rose Gold plating over the silver, and a number of pieces are available in solid 14K gold. Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver, stamped 925 or 0.925. Solid 14K gold is 58.5% pure gold, stamped 14K. Gold plated pieces carry the 925 stamp underneath, because the base metal is sterling silver.
You can choose Box, Figaro, or Paperclip chain, in lengths from 14 to 24 inches. Both are selected at checkout.
Yes. Several designs are made specifically for Hebrew name engraving, and other pieces can carry a custom Hebrew inscription. If you want a name or phrase in a script that is not standard, send the exact spelling and the design will be checked before production begins.
Some designs hold a Nano Bible chip, a tiny chip inscribed with biblical text set into the pendant. It lets the wearer carry the full text in a piece small enough for everyday wear.
